NB! This is *not* an attack on people’s spirituality. One could mistake this for such a stance easily should a defence position be set up beforehand. It is a most relevant pointing out of the fact that New Age environents have taken certain things that have nothing inherently “spiritual” or “holy” to them and turned them into objects of worship, veneration or virtual idols. Thus, the point of those things gets lost and suddenly out of the blue stuff gets sectarian. These are tools, states, you name it, but not something one can say “oh, I’m special, I’m a practicioner this exclusive secret teaching, now I finally belong.” It’s quite down to earth stuff, which shouldn’t get used as an isolating anti-identity building tools.
